Morris Wetland & Storm Water Management Project
Norellco began work at Morris Wetland in 2011. The first part of this project was removing any scrap metal was present on the site, identifying, clearing and removing contaminated soil and water.
Once the site contamination was dealt with, ponds were constructed to allow for improved drainage in the area, and berms were constructed to make the site accessible for ongoing water monitoring. Pipes have been installed between ponds to allow for overflow, and to filter the water to improve the quality of water draining into Goldbar Creek which eventually drains into the North Saskatchewan River.
Morris Wetland is located on 34 Street just North of the Sherwood Park Freeway.
